About Carmen Gee

Taught to sew as a child by her mother, Carmen’s first creation was at age of 9.
At sixteen Carmen designed, draped and, sewed the bridesmaid’s dresses for her brother’s wedding.
At a very young age she worked in factories making dresses, later started her home business knitting sweaters for Dara Sedaka in 1982, dressing such stars as Toni Tenille and Marilyn McCoo to mention a few.

Went to FIT where she received AA Degree in Applied Science and Bachelors in Production Management Apparel. One  year program at  the Instituto Italiano Internazionalle della Moda Polimoda in Florence, Italy. degree certificate 1993.
In 1985, Carmen began consulting and Designed  Wedding  Gowns. In 1993, Carmen designed, draped and built  15 wedding dresses for Manale’s First Bridal Collection.
In 1998, Carmen designed and built children’s clothes for Bella’s Kids collection.

Works extensively throughout the Fashion, TV, Movie and Theater Industry .                 Present employers are a  variety of Clients , Stylists,  Fashion, Costumes Designers, and   retail. Major Companies, to mention a few: Parsons and Meares, John Kristiansen, “What Not to Wear” BBC,   Liz Claiborne, Kate Spade (present); Tory Burch, NBC, SNL, Productions. On set  tailoring services , Photo shoots, Commercials for Nicola Formichetti,  Shala Rothemberg, Jessica Pasteur,  among others.

Offering services in Pattern making, First Samples, Pattern Corrections, sample making, Draping, Fittings, Re-styling  wardrobes , Alteration, Repairs and Duplicates for Market Week.
